What this policy covers

This policy explains what personal data we collect through www.tangibledigital.co.uk, what we do with it, how long we keep it and what rights you have. It covers visitors to this website and people who contact us or work with us.

It does not cover our clients' own websites, or any other site we link to.

The personal data we collect

When you contact us. If you complete a form on this site or email us, we collect your name, your email address, your telephone number where you give one, your company name, and anything else you choose to tell us in your message.

When you become a client. We collect the contact details of the people we work with at your organisation, and we are given access to systems that belong to you, such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console and Google Business Profile. Any personal data held in those systems remains yours. We process it only to carry out the work you have asked us to do.

We do not collect special category data, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Why we process it, and our lawful basis

To provide our services. Our lawful basis is performance of a contract.

To send relevant updates to clients and to people who have asked to hear from us. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interests, and every message carries an unsubscribe link.

To measure how this site is used, so that we can improve it. Our lawful basis is consent.

To keep accounting records. Our lawful basis is our legal obligation to do so.

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have considered whether those interests are overridden by your rights and concluded that they are not. You may object at any time.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.

We use service providers who process data on our behalf. Our website is hosted by Vercel. Our site analytics are provided by Google. Messages sent through our contact form are delivered by Resend. Each is bound by terms that allow them to use the data only for the purpose we have given it to them for.

We may disclose personal data where the law requires it.

Where your data is held

We keep data within the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area where we can. Some of our providers process data in the United States. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or the UK extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become clients: 24 months from the last contact.

Client records: for the length of the engagement, and six years afterwards, which is the period our accounting and contractual obligations require.

Site analytics: for the retention period set in our analytics account, after which the data is deleted automatically.

Your rights

You have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable form. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time.

To exercise any of these, email mike@tangibledigital.co.uk. We will respond within one month.
